Last night was such a pretty night we decided to take a walk. Lucky for you we took the camera.
Community Hall next to the school
Bonnie by the Yukon
"The Water is Wide..."
Unloading gravel from the barge for the airport project
30 truckloads of gravel on this barge (five times a day)
Grayling boats and fishwheel on Grayling Creek tributary
Heading back toward the school
Hans at St. Paul's Church in Grayling (not to be confused with St. Paul's Cathedral in London)
Bonnie back by the Yukon
That was then, this is now…
Smoke from forest fires
In case you can’t tell, this photo was taken from the same spot as the previous picture 12 hours later; that’s smoke, not fog. KSKO reports over 500,000 acres burning. Bonnie was supposed to fly out to Anchorage today, but the airplanes couldn’t see the runway to land. Maybe tomorrow, ’cause tomorrow’s another day.
