Another School Year Has Begun

Anyone who is a teacher or lives with a teacher probably knows why there was no post last week. No matter how many years you’ve been a teacher, getting ready for the start of school is time consuming. All consuming. But ready or not, the kids come and we are afforded the chance to begin again; to make this year better than the last.

What it looks like inside Bonnie’s classroom these days…

What it looks like outside these days…

Teachers aren’t the only ones working hard. The leaves are turning yellow and the tundra is reddening up. The salmon are here now, the blueberries are ripe, caribou will pass by soon; harvest time in the Arctic.

  1. Hope you both have a great school year! How lucky those kids are to have you.
Was that little boy cleaning a moose head? What are you going to do with that?

  2. Wow, you definitely don’t see picture #3 happening in Sequim! Or many classrooms for that matter. Always good to see a new blog post. Sending you much love, Anna B.
